The Toolbox

The toolbox window differs from the toolbar. It provides a set of tools that you use at design time to place controls on a form. You will learn how to add and remove tools from the toolbox as you move through this tutorial. In addition to the default toolbox layout, you can create your own custom layouts by selecting Add Tab from the context menu and adding controls to the resulting tab.

The Form Window

Most of your work goes on inside the Form Window. You'll design all your application's forms in the central editing area where the Form Window appears. You can resize the Form window to make the windows you create in your applications as large or small as needed.

Play Sound An application may contain multiple forms. To activate a form, click anywhere within the window or the title bar.
